Reporting to the Regional Operations Director you will be tasked to ensure the delivery of the annual budget, people, customer and business process objectives of 5 distinct depots
You must be able to effectively balance short-term operational priorities with longer-term strategic objectives, whilst creating a consistent 'Best in Class' approach across all depot activities, to ensure the delivery of strategic objectives in line with company values. Effective people management and the ability to influence are critical to this role.
The role is focused on cost management, customer service, asset management and utilisation (people and vehicles) as well as ensuring all agreed policies (Audit, H&S, HR, Quality) and corporate procedures are adhered to and appropriate actions taken to address non-compliance.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a Senior Depot / Branch / Area / Operations Manager with demonstrable success in line management, most likely running either a very large successful single branch looking for progression, or running a multi - depot operation but needing a fresh challenge.
Knowledge of working in the Plant Hire sector would be advantageous though applications are welcomed from retail, tool hire, vehicle hire or associated industries, where candidates can effectively demonstrate excellent leadership, customer service and people skills and the ability to run highly profitable branch networks. The ability to adapt and react to changing circumstances, and work in a time critical environment, whilst leading and influencing change, is a pre-requisite.
